The mayor of Alhama, Mariola Guevara, along with the Councilor for Social Welfare, Nani Navarro, and the president of the Abraham Project Association, Toñi Villarino, today delivered the diplomas to students who have finished the program 'Walk between fabrics ', an insertion itinerary aimed at people in situations of social vulnerability, which has been taught from September 2019 to January 2020.
The people selected for this project have participated in pre-work workshops, receiving occupational training, job guidance and psychosocial care, and have been included in the Abraham Project Association employment bag, with textile-clothing work profile, for active job search .
Students who have participated in this accompaniment and employability program have acquired knowledge in both sewing and clothing, as well as customer service.
In addition, they have had the opportunity to value those skills by performing non-work practices in different companies in the area.
'Walk between fabrics' is an employability project aimed at unemployed people of long duration, low / medium employability, low qualification and basic studies, residents in the Region of Murcia.
This training has the collaboration of the City of Alhama de Murcia, through its Department of Social Welfare, and the help of the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, through grants for the realization of programs of general interest aimed at social interest purposes to be developed by third sector entities in the Region of Murcia, charged to the tax allocation of 0.7% of the income tax of natural persons, of the Ministry of Health, Services Social and Equality.
This project has also had the participation of organizations present in Alhama, Totana and Librilla, as well as the collaboration of the companies Mobel Sport (Totana), Carmen Moda and Femeny's (Alhama), which have welcomed the students in their companies for the realization of their non-work practices.
Abraham Project also manages the Regional Wardrobe, and other labor insertion projects such as the two 'Atelier El Costurerico' clothing workshops.
