The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development of Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Martínez Arroyo, visits the company's facilities in Robledo as a show of support for companies that create quality employment in rural areas
The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development of Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Martínez Arroyo has visited the facilities of the Aquadeus natural mineral water company, to learn about the implementation of its sustainability plan and as a show of support to the companies that generate quality jobs in rural areas.
Some of the measures included in this plan include the use of recycled PET, the development of a communication campaign aimed at consumers to raise awareness about the importance of recycling, a reforestation program around their spring in the protected natural area of El Arquillo, in Robledo, in the immediate vicinity of the Sierra de Alcaraz (Albacete) or the installation of a photovoltaic solar system for the electrical self-sufficiency of the plant. With the implementation of these initiatives, the company is committed to sustainable development and integrator achieving environmental and social benefits in the development of its activity.
Regarding the employment created, Aquadeus has a staff of 69 people and its business activity generates 350 indirect jobs.
87 percent of its human team resides less than 30 kilometers from the bottling plant, located in a rural environment.
Aquadeus, integrated in the Grupo Fuertes business holding company, is a pioneer in its sector and is immersed in a process of continuous innovation.
The objective set by the company is to continue growing above the sector average, increasing production efficiency, for which it has recently invested 4 million euros.
Aquadeus water is classified as bicarbonated, calcium and hyposodic water, suitable for the preparation of baby foods and for low sodium diets.
