Look from the sciences and the arts'.
From January 16 to March 26]
This morning, the Councilor for Education, María José López, presented with Paca Hermosilla, Cristóbal Altamayo and Ángel Chacón, members of the organizing committee, the program of conferences and events on the occasion of the VI Conference 'An education for the 21st century .
Look from the sciences and the arts', which are conceived as a reflection on the current educational model, aimed at all Alhama colleges and institutes, and this year, as a novelty, to the Adult School.
The City Council of Alhama is one of the 21 consistories of the Region that participate in the program of conferences and events on the occasion of these days.
The Alhameño Consistory collaborates in the activities, which will take place from January 16 to March 26, offering institutional, economic support and transfer of spaces, in addition to the involvement of the different educational centers.
María José López has expressed that "the public school must be a space that favors inclusion, equal opportunities, diversity, respect for nature and sustainable development in democratic coexistence respecting the fundamental rights of the human being. We must achieve a social model where there are more and more critical people, who participate and contribute to advance for a more just, cultured and supportive society. "
This year the inaugural conference will be given by Antonio Viñao, and will discuss the 'The right of parents on the education of their children and educational rights of the child'.
The speaker is a Doctor of Law and Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Education, Department of Theory and History of Education.
He was dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences, and president of the Spanish Society for the History of Education, in which researchers and professors from Spanish, European and Latin American universities participate.
He is also an executive member of the ISCHE (International Conference on the History of European Education).
Based on his ideas and his work, the CEME, Center for Educational Memory Studies, was created in Murcia, where materials such as documentation are collected, such as a research project of 'teachers who left their mark'.
