The Department of Youth has restarted the service of the Local Youth Employment Center for people between 16 and 29 years old, which is co-financed by the General Directorate of Youth of the Region of Murcia and the European Social Fund.
Alhama City Council, aware of the sensitive unemployment situation that especially affects young people, resumes this point of information, guidance, activation and accompaniment, for the sustainable integration into the labor market of this group.
For this, a series of measures have been articulated that can be grouped into three main lines of action:
Improvement of intermediation: through individualized actions of professional orientation, job information, help in the preparation of curriculum, preparation of the job interview, job search online, etc.
As well as accompaniment and analysis in the establishment and achievement of the work objectives that the youth has set.
Improvement of employability: informing them of all the alternatives that the System puts at their disposal to incentivize and improve their possibilities of labor insertion, through personal and professional training.
Promotion of entrepreneurship: encouraging the entrepreneurial culture, offering general information for the start-up of a business and in coordination with the Local Development Agent of the municipality.
All these actions are complemented by the injection of incentives to hire young people by companies, through tax exemptions, bonuses and / or reductions in Social Security fees and depending on the type of contract.
With the purpose of improving the ability to reach more young people, this service has been transferred to the Training and Employment Center, located at Av. Ginés Campos, No. 56 A, during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Training and Employment Center is a significant reference at the municipal level, for people seeking training and employment, so that it is expected to reach more young people, in addition to being able to count as potential users with participants in the different courses of training that are carried out.
Regarding the results, since mid-2016, the two programs have been attended, according to the data:
Users: 787

Informative talks: 651
Surveys: 26.32% of 2,307 young people between the ages of 17 and 27 who were invited to participate.
