The Sierra Espuña sports hall, annexed to the CEIP Sierra Espuña and the IES Valle de Leiva, already has a new photovoltaic installation for self-consumption of electric energy.
The modules that have been placed on the roof of this space will continue to reduce the expenditure on electricity of the City of Alhama, as well as the emissions of C02 to the environment, meeting the objectives 7, 11, 12 and 13 of sustainable development collected in the 2030 Agenda.
This is one of the winning proposals of the latest edition of participatory budgets, which proposed the installation of solar panels to generate electricity, pollute less and reduce costs in the medium term, taking advantage of the elimination of the so-called “sun taxâ€.
The installation has had a total cost of 17,438.29 euros, VAT included.
The objective of the Consistory is to continue investing in photovoltaic energy in the coming years.
The municipal budget project for 2020 includes a 45,000 euros item to provide new plates to other public buildings, starting with the heated pool.
