The plenary debate was opened with different proposals for discounts on the Facilities and Works Tax, for promoting employment for a new PC Components logistics warehouse, expansion of Green World Compunding activity, new Elpozo frozen tunnel and reform of the drawers, also from Elpozo.
All were approved except the latter since the reports consider that it does not meet the requirement of being a new construction or expansion of facilities.
So they will see a 30% bonus for job creation, up to 40, 50 or 60% depending on the workers they hire from the pool of workers at risk of social exclusion or victims of violence. Subsequently, it was agreed to declare the expiration of the concession of a municipally owned plot in the Industrial Park, intended for the installation of a biogas plant, which had not been carried out since 2014.
From IU-Verdes, we recall that we were the only Group that We opposed the transfer of this shearwater as, although we consider a plant of this type interesting for our town, we warned that it was a confusing and speculative project, whose promoters did not have investors to carry it out. It was also considered to urge the Regional Government to launch the call for subsidies for rental housing, so that those affected can opt for this type of resources, as well as for it to expedite payment to providers that provide liquidity to freelancers and SMEs.
Both initiatives had our support, since we believe that the Regional Government must contribute to minimizing the economic and social impact of COVID-19 on issues that, like these, are its responsibility. The section on motions had as its starting point the "trap" motion of the PP, in which they supposedly advocate the autonomy of local entities.
From IU-Verdes we point out that the PP continues without articulating a regional law of fair local financing and that, in this City Council, they have been voting for years against the proposals of IU-Greens to reform the laws promoted by Montoro, which have narrowed and restricted the decision-making capacity to guarantee the provision of public services or allocate the surplus to investments. Finally, they propose in their motion a series of political-fiction proposals on what to do in case the nation's government adopts a series of measures that are only in the imagination of the Popular Party, or in its repertoire of crown-lobes.
Let's be serious, at IU-Verdes we believe that proposals on unsubstantiated assumptions should not be made, using the Plenary for their partisan strategy of harassment and demolition. At IU-Verdes we show our support for the cut flower sector, showing that the Government of the Nation has already launched a package of measures for seasonal productions due to cessation of activity, as well as other measures, not specific to this sector, but to which they can avail themselves as freelancers or SMEs.
Tax, labor, social security contributions, lines of guarantees, expansion of ICO financing, moratoriums, deferrals, etc. As for the Young Talents Return Plan, we showed that IU has been denouncing this exodus that we are dragging, especially since the 2008 crisis.
To do this, it is necessary, in the first place, to stop this bleeding.
The PSOE-United Government Agreement we can commit a series of agreements to consolidate growth and job creation such as: reduce inequality, new Workers Statute, repeal the Labor Reform, raise the minimum wage, hiring measures, fight against labor fraud, active employment policies, etc.
It also includes a return program for immigrants to recover those who left our country in search of a job and who are so necessary for our economy. We recognized the excellent work of the professionals of the Nursing Home, with a memory for our colleague Ginesa Munuera, recently deceased, who always fought to keep the jobs, the location and to keep our nursing home public.
third age. Finally, we reiterate our appreciation to the deceased, their families, and all the professionals and volunteers who have provided services to alleviate the effects of COVID-19, this time institutionally through a joint motion in plenary.
