The Mayor, together with the Councilor for Education, the Councilor for Citizen Security and the Councilor for Infrastructure and Public Services has held a meeting with the directors of the different public schools in Alhama and its districts to try to coordinate the next return to the classrooms from September.The Local Police, the person in charge of the cleaning company and the coordinator of extracurricular activities of Animunis were also present at the meeting.

One of the issues discussed has been the cleaning of the centers; the ordinary one is the responsibility of the City Council, but this year due to the sanitary situation in which we find ourselves it will also take charge of an extraordinary disinfection.

Specifically, one person will be in each of the schools throughout the school day: from 9:30 to 14:30 to clean toilets and common areas.

At 14:30 there will be an ordinary cleaning and at the end of the extracurricular activities and / or reinforcement classes the extraordinary disinfection will be carried out daily. This will cost about 140,000 euros, which will come from the municipal budget "since the only thing that interests us is a return to school with the maximum hygiene guarantees," explains María José López.There has also been talk about the entry and exit of children to school, with the aim that crowds do not form.

"For that we will have the collaboration of the Local Police, which will study the protocol of each center so that everything is as regulated as possible in terms of security," says the Councilor for Education.Regarding the morning proximity service, the intention of the council is to start it up again as a conciliation service exclusively, with a strict scale in order to reduce the ratio of children, "because what it is about is to help to fathers and mothers who work, but always giving priority to the safety of children, "says López.With regard to extracurricular activities, safe alternatives will be sought, which attend to safety and conciliation.
