Starting this Friday, November 6, the Alhameño artist Andrés Guillén 'Murfy' will begin a new work at the initiative of the Alhama de Murcia City Council, located in the dividing wall of the Severo Ochoa street car park, dedicated to all the people who They fight incessantly against the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the victims that the disease has claimed. The project, funded by the Department of Urban Quality, consists of a human heart from which flowers of all types and colors are born.
The illustration will be made with plastic and colored paint, with some fluorine brushstrokes, up to a height of 14 meters, which will be followed by the phrase 'Caring for life from the heart'. The meaning of this design is to become aware and responsible for the situation experienced as an element of improvement and learning for the future.
The heart, as the most human element, symbolizes putting ourselves in the place of the other; the flowers represent growth and care, so that they live and be healthy, you have to give them and take good care of them.
The work will also be accompanied by the phrase 'Dedicated to all those people who fight incessantly so that our lives are important'. The author has been based on the work of 'Los Girasoles' by Van Gogh to make the sketch.
To carry it out, the help of a crane vehicle will be necessary and will last approximately two weeks. This new mural will accompany the work 'A flash of sound color', first prize in the II Urban Art Mural Painting Contest, also made by Andrés Guillén 'Murfy', which represents a girl dressed as a corremayo.
