This Friday an extraordinary session of the Local Government Board and the Plenary of the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña was held electronically, of which the municipalities of Alhama, Totana, Aledo, Pliego, Mula and Librilla are part. The Alhameño Council has been represented by the Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Mariola Guevara, and the Councilor for Tourism, Leticia Pareja.The Local Government Board has approved the settlement reports of the 2019 Budget, the study and report of the General Account for the 2019 financial year, the report of the economic-financial plan of the Sierra Espuña tourism sustainability plan, the bases for selection of staff of the Local Public Employment program, the final development report of the Agroeconatura 2020 project and expenses and invoices. Subsequently, in plenary, the renewal of the positions of presidency and vice-presidency has been carried out.
The mayor of Pliego, Antonio Huéscar, has been elected the new president of the Tourist Association and the mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, vice president.
The renewal of positions, which until now was carried out every six months, has been increased to one year to give greater agility to the entity.On the other hand, the different members have approved the agreement between the Secretary of State for Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the government of the Region of Murcia and the Association of Tourist Services of Sierra Espuña, for the execution of the Plan of Sustainability of the Sierra Espuña Territory.
