Within the campaign 'The Alhama City Council cares for you', this last week of the year the house-to-house distribution of a pack of masks for the elderly in the town has begun.
They will be distributed in envelopes to about 4,000 residents over 65 registered in Alhama and its districts.
They are of the FFP2 type, the most recommended by health authorities for people of this age group. It is a new distribution of masks, in addition to those carried out during the months of April, May and September 'door to door' in all the homes of the municipality (20,000 adults and 3,000 children), plus another 20,000 donated by the Government of Spain and distributed by municipal workers, in addition to 10,000 distributed in November to children from 1st to 6th grade in all schools in Alhama and its districts. With this new delivery, there are about 60,000 units of these elements of protection to the Alhameña population by the City Council, including all the houses in the municipality, the five districts, countryside areas and the Condado de Alhama urbanization . In parallel, the Social Welfare area is carrying out a new distribution aimed at some 400 families who are cared for in C ritas and Proayuda Alimentaria.
