In the last plenary session of December, the municipal Corporation unanimously approved asking the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia to include an economic item to tender the works of the road that connects Alhama with Pliego in the 2021 budgets.

A road that gives direct access to the green lung of the Region, such as Sierra Espuña, which is used by many users, both inside and outside the province.

The project has already been prepared, in the absence of contracting the works. On May 27, 2016, a request signed by the pediatric mayors of Gebas, El Berro, Fuente Librillas and by their associations was entered by registry requesting that the relevant agreements be debated and adopted to achieve that CARM urgently carry out the necessary actions to improve the road surface and the tightest curves throughout its route.

On June 28, 2016, the Plenary of the Alhama City Council approved this proposal by the 21 councilors that comprise it. On the other hand, the plenary session of the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña, on May 9, 2017 also approved a request from the Autonomous Community for the comprehensive repair of this road. It was in November 2018 when the General Directorate of Roads sent to this City Council the conditioning and improvement project of the RM-515, which contemplates the action in a total of 10.4 km, from the road junction from Los Pavos to the junction of the E-10, El Berro road, at the end of Mula.

In addition, in the previous meetings held with the aforementioned general management, the Government team has shown its willingness to sign an agreement with the CARM, taking charge of the City Council for the payment of the amount of the expropriations that it will carry out.

I finish the Autonomous Community itself and that are necessary for the execution of the works.

In this way, a solution would be given to the problem posed by Roads in relation to its inability to pay these amounts.
