From 17 to 23 April, the Department of Sports, in collaboration with all schools in the town, organizes the V Olympiad Alhama 2016, addressed to all primary school children and whose objective is to learn about different sports as well as promoting values ​​representing the Olympic spirit.
This activity, which is held every four years to coincide with the celebration of the Olympic Games, presents an extensive program of competitions.
Previously students have attended school hours to one of the three conference held on the track to meet different tests of this discipline.
And now it is when competitions are held:
On Sunday 17 will be held the swimming competition for students from 1st to 6th grade of primary school, from 10 am at the Municipal Pool Heated.
On Monday 18 football competition will be 8 for children from 5th and 6th grade of primary school, from 17 to 20 hours in the soccer fields Guadalentín Sports Complex.
On Tuesday 19 competitions multisport for boys and girls 3rd and 4th grade of primary will be held, from 16.30 pm in the Halls Adolfo Suarez and Sierra Espuña.
On Wednesday 20 the handball competition for children in 5th and 6th grade primary will be held from 16.30 pm in the Pavilion Adolfo Suarez.
On Thursday 21 competitions matt and minibasket for children and students girls 3rd and 4th grade of primary school will be developed, from 16.30 pm in the Halls Adolfo Suarez and Sierra Espuña.
On Friday 22 will be the girls basketball competition for 5th and 6th grade of primary school, from 16.30 pm in the Pavilion Adolfo Suarez.
Finally, on Saturday 23th will be the athletics competition for students from 1st to 6th grade of primary school in Athletics Track Complex Guadalentín, where also perform the classic ceremony of the Olympic Games, with the parade of participants (children colleges), arrival of the torch and lit the cauldron, Olympic oath, hoisting of the flag and opening of the conference.
After each competition, the medals will be awarded to the top three participants.
All children participating in these competitions must first enroll in their school.
