On May 2, the Councillor for Education and Health, Mariola Guevara, Councilman Pedanías, Antonio Garcia and the councilman of Social Services, Felipe García, held a meeting with the CEPAIM Foundation and the main social actors in the House of culture of El Berro.
In it an integral intervention in order to stop the process of depopulation that suffers the district and ensure the survival of their unitary school was raised.
The main activities will be developed under the areas of Rural Development and Housing CEPAIM Foundation.
In particular, the programs "New trails and Housing Solidarity Network".
NEW PATHS
New Pathways program promotes geographic mobility of people and immigrant families from nuclei with high density of population to rural areas.
Phenomenon that revitalizes the development of rural communities with the reception of new agents in its territory and improving the quality of life of these people and their families.
Currently Nuevos Senderos takes place in Murcia, Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza, Cáceres, Soria, Teruel, Salamanca, Guadalajara, with possibilities for action in other territories.
It is a project funded by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING NETWORK
Solidarity Network Housing for families at risk of social exclusion aims to enable the access and retention of families who can not afford to pay a rent at market price to adequate housing to their needs.
Currently it takes place in 20 municipalities distributed between Murcia and Valencia, with 39 homes, one of which is located in Alhama de Murcia and another in the village of El Berro.
The main source of funding is the economic contributions made by individuals residing in the concept of social housing rent.
The program also has the support of Cajamurcia and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality Foundation.
