the fifth meeting of the Local Coordination Committee against Gender Violence held |
Councillor for Equality, Nani Navarro, welcomed professionals who constitute this body and from different fields, assist women victims of domestic violence and work to prevent such violence in the city.
Among them was Felipe García, Councillor for Citizen Security and Social Services, representatives of the Centre of Social Services, Civil Guard, Local Police, the Local Employment Center for Women, the Employment Service and Training, Education, CAVI of the Bajo Guadalentín and PAE psychologist.
The functions of this table is to analyze situations and local data on gender violence, working to make proposals and set criteria.
This is to improve early case detection, to promote coordination of actors, actions and resources to provide quick and agile as possible care to women who are in this situation.
On the table they are represented all areas involved in the fight against gender violence, in order to optimize the performances in prevention and improve care for women in this situation at the municipal level as well as inform and sensitize professionals and citizens .
On this day some agreements were reached to achieve greater coordination between resources and work for awareness of violence among citizens.
