Monday July 11 began fieldwork at the site of Las Paleras in the Cerro del Castillo.
Works that are key objectives excavation, consolidation, restoration and enhancement of archaeological heritage, and will last until 24 July.
The field development work is carried out on the site of The Paleras the Cerro del Castillo, which has been excavated since 2006. During these years has marked a line of work that aims, recovery of the walled town of emiral period (late eighth century until the mid-tenth century) and its citadel.
Each year is advancing in the excavation areas with very interesting results, both urban type and material.
The imposing defensive walls and towers architecture and domestic architecture of houses, silos, roads, etc.
They bring us closer to the daily life of these centuries, both the quadrangular fortress, as in the housing complex surrounded by a perimeter wall.
This year is presented as a novelty the existence of two ways to participate in this field.
One embodiment offered for 20 places with travel and accommodation in Alhama whose enrollment is 80 €, and a second where 15 seats have been offered without stay with free registration.
