The Plenum of the Commonwealth, met Friday in Alhama de Murcia, has unanimously approved the incorporation of the City of Librilla this territorial project, so far formed by the towns of Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Mula, Pliego and Totana.
Since 2012 the municipalities pooled been working closely with officials of the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña in the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism, a certification that has served as a tool for planning inland tourism in this region and implement a tourism development model with criteria of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
This year will end executing a plan with sixty five performances, after a participatory process that was conducted in 2011. The challenge of this area is now to finish 2016 with a new plan for the next five years, fruit the contributions of all actors in the territory.
For this reason, in addition to members of the plenary, they invited municipal technicians attended, tourism entrepreneurs, associations and groups to complete this plan participation that began in February.
Another important bloc have been various proposals that the municipalities have provided to be included in the Rural Development Strategy, which will also run during the coming years.
Municipalities and companies can finance projects with the aid until 2020, a period in which the region of Murcia will have 19 million euros to invest in all its rural territory.
"This amount, although less than in previous periods, no doubt will be a boost for job creation and improving the quality of life of the population and an opportunity for funding vertebradores projects in the territory of Sierra Espuña" has said President Diego Conesa.
Before concluding, Conesa welcomed the presence throughout the morning to the more than 80 participants among which has had municipal technicians of different municipalities, the Local Action Group and Espuña Park, tourism entrepreneurs, associations and groups in the region who contributed their ideas, work and effort to outline these two planning documents that will mark the lines of action in the territory in the coming years.
