Begin informative workshops Social Services (06/09/2016)

The Mayor of Alhama, Diego Conesa, and Councilman Felipe Garcia presented the talks that will be taught during the coming months users of Social Services, focused on the acquisition of knowledge and personal improvement.

The first block is to know the services offered by the City Council in its different areas, from the hand of municipal technicians.

A task that will be supported by the various councilors of the Municipal Corporation.

Monday was held the first class, taught by the techniques of Social Services.

In it they have explained to users the new regulation, what their objectives as well as the rights, duties and obligations regarding these courses.

Last March, the City Council approved the new regulations aimed Social Services helps disadvantaged families, people at risk of social exclusion or poverty.

To access the aid must meet basic requirements: be taxed, at least one year in the town and that the total income of the family unit -divided between the number of people that the component does not exceed 45% of minimum wage.

Once requested assistance, the Department conducted a study to determine that the applicants meet the requirements and become part of the lists for courses.

Since July techniques this area are collecting data from all users that are registered in the workshops.

They will receive a scholarship of 100 euros which is intended to cover part of their basic needs.

This aid is conditional on attendance at courses, establishing a joint responsibility of rights and obligations.

The mayor, Diego Conesa, explained that "offer 100 euros is not much, but the concept is changed, since it helps double: economic and recovery of self-esteem and dignity to have greater chances of finding employment."

On the first day there are 18 users, a number that may be increased depending on the requests.

In total there will be 9 months of information, training and navigate the personal and family level, with the ultimate goal of getting a job knowledge.

The workshops will be focused in recent months to active job search.

Users who meet the requirements of regular attendance enter into an employment so that local companies can hire them through a series of tax benefits.

The goal, says the mayor is "recudir the social gap as a result of the crisis that accompanies us the last 8 years."
