The Councilor for the Environment, Antonio Garcia, attended this Tuesday, together with municipal technicians, a day called "Roads and rural development" in the Ministry of Water and Agriculture for the second call for aid for the improvement of rural infrastructure in municipalities Of the Region corresponding to the Rural Development Program (RDP) 2014-2020.
The deadline for submission of new projects is from 1 to 18 December 2016, with a European grant of three million euros.
Success in first call
In the previous edition of July, Alhama obtained the selection of the three roads that he presented for conditioning, repair and paving, obtaining first place, third and 54, out of a total of 217 applications.
The projects are in the contracting phase and will begin to be executed in early 2017.
These actions are part of the rural roads plan that will allocate 16,170,000 euros for the construction of vials for the period 2016-2020.
These actions are carried out through investments co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
According to forecasts, they will allow the adequate management and planning of the more than 6,000 kilometers of rural roads, the extension and improvement of the rolling layer and the horizontal and vertical signaling in more than 600 kilometers of these tracks throughout the Region.
