The garden of the Americas is in works for the renovation of the cushioning pavement of the two playgrounds for children.
This is intended to incorporate a more suitable material that meets all the safety requirements established for these areas and that guarantees the capacity to absorb impacts, according to the standard UNE-EN 1177/2009.
Specifically, a security floor will be installed, consisting of an elastic polyethylene expanded closed cell base covered with artificial turf with 25 mm sports fiber and with antistatic capacity, to avoid the problems of electric shocks, reinforced with an anti- Vandalism over the entire surface with anchoring to the metal belt.
Of the two playgrounds located inside the Las Americas garden, zone 1 is designed for use by children 2-6 years of age.
It is the closest to the street Acequia Espuña.
Zone 2, for an age of use of children over 8 years, is the most internal area delimited by a fence in the passage area.
It is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, December 26, 2016.
