The management team of the CEIP Ricardo Codorniú has issued a statement addressed to the families, where he reports that this morning they have transferred from the Epidemiology Service the confirmation of the existence of an outbreak of salmonellosis.
From the Ministry of Health are investigating whether the origin of the same could be due to food served in the dining room of the school.
Likewise, the company Mediterránea de Catering, which manages the dining service, has carried out an internal audit, analyzing samples of the food served on Thursday, December 15, and the bacteria has not appeared in the samples.
From the center the contact data of all the users of the dining room have been provided for sanitation and they are used to survey them and to cite them for cultivation.
From the epidemiology department recommend extreme precautions at home, if a child has manifested the symptoms of the infection: belly dollar, vomiting, diarrhea and high fever, recommending the following measures:
Wash hands regularly with soap and water, especially after going to the bathroom.
Cleaning of all objects that the child has taken to the mouth.
If it is necessary to clean the child after a bowel movement, do so with gloves.
Cleaning especially in toilets, faucets, door handles, and anything else that may have been handled.
Do not share siblings kitchen utensils.
