Books on the Street is one of the campaigns to promote reading, organized by the Department of Culture of Alhama de Murcia, through the municipal library.

This year of 2017 also coincides with the birthplace of the poetess Gloria Fuertes and the 75th anniversary of the death of the poet Miguel Hernández.
The dissemination of his well-known poetic work can be seen in the corners of our population between April 21 and May 12, through ten panels in color with images and texts.
The posters are exhibited at "Gloria Fuertes" Children's School, IES "Miguel Hernández", Plaza Vieja, Archaeological Museum "Los Baños", City Hall, Plaza de la Americas, Cubana Park, Plaza de la Constitución and arcades of the Office of Tourism.
