The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the operation 'SOLAZO', has dismantled an underground type indoor greenhouse installed in a central Alhama de Murcia garage that housed about 2,000 marijuana plants.
In the framework of the services established to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, the security forces of the Benemérita initiated the operation last May to investigate certain indications that indicated the existence of a macroplantation of marijuana in Alhama de Murcia.
The first surveys were carried out with the purpose of knowing exactly the location of the indoor greenhouse, as well as the identity of the people who could be found after the investigated criminal activity.
The indications obtained during the investigation guided the agents towards real estate located in the urban area of ​​Alhama de Murcia, a central garage where the criminal activity related to drug trafficking was carried out, specifically the inner and intensive cultivation of marihuana plants.
During the past Wednesday, May 31, and with prior judicial authorization, agents entered and registered the suspect property that allowed to dismantle the clandestine indoor marijuana greenhouse, with about 2,000 plants.
Capacity of cultivation of about 6,000 annual plants
Numerous air-conditioning units, extractors, electric water pumps for drip irrigation, floodlights with their respective 600 W lamps, transformers and electrical panels, fertilizers, air filters to camouflage odors on the outside , Containers, weather stations and a large number of pots and accessories that made it possible to carry out intensive marijuana crops in very sophisticated facilities that could allow annual crops that would exceed 6,000 marijuana plants.
The Benemérita continues with the operation, not excluding the location and detention of the people who are behind the authorship of the enlightened criminal activity.
