This week the last propane gas container units that were installed in three gardens of the municipality: La Boquera-La Perdiz, Santa Bárbara and Francisco Rabal have been dismantled.
After five years of management, Redexis Gas has withdrawn a total of six tanks, installed in the mid-1990s by Repsol Gas, coinciding with the creation of the three urbanizations, which until last year supplied the neighbors, Now subscribed to natural gas.
The work began a few weeks ago and consisted of inerting (removal of gas) and the dismantling of buried tanks, as well as auxiliary facilities.
There are still five kilometers of gas content in pipelines, which will be withdrawn after the agreement with the company.
The City Council studies several proposals to adapt to the environment the areas where these facilities were previously located.
