The Director General of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno, visited the IES Valle de Leiva on Wednesday to begin the course in secondary education in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Mariola Guevara, and the Mayor of the municipality, Diego Conesa.
More than 95,000 students will be gradually incorporated until September 19 in high school and high school, a historic record of students who want to continue in the stages of ESO.
Moreno thanked the teachers for the information they provide to the students "so that the beginning can develop in the most cordial way".
Roberto García, director of the center, stressed that this start of course "is taking place fairly normally, and that the schedule they had planned for reception is being met."
Regarding the bidding for the new IES Valle de Leiva project, the Director-General reported that all education infrastructures are being implemented depending on the needs of the municipality or the building itself, and stated that a number of construction negotiations are underway of the new institute to be carried out as soon as possible.
The City of Alhama de Murcia collaborates with the Ministry of Education on this project.
"There have been a series of requirements that have been transferred and the last step is in their hands, which is to take out the tender, and as said Remedios Lajara, general director of Educational Centers, are working on it and on this September will begin, "said Mariola Guevara.
The mayor also reported on the works of the dining room of CEIP Sierra Espuña, assuring that they are in their last phase and that will begin to function from January if all the deadlines are fulfilled.
