Twenty-five years after the best result of his career will commemorate what is also "the greatest success" of Murcia athletics, or at least the one with the greatest repercussion, as recalled by the Federation of Athletics of the Region of Murcia (FAMU).
Peñalver, who was 23 years old when he was proclaimed Olympic runner-up in this competition, will receive the affection of his people next Sunday, October 1 at the track of the Bajo Guadalentín Sports Complex from 12.00 p.m.
The event, organized by the City of Alhama, will feature the presence of historical figures of the sport, as well as family members, athletics club members and alhameños who lived first hand that game from the Olympic Stadium of Montjuic.
