On September 15 a new meeting of the Local Security Board was held, with the presence of the Mayor, members of the Government team, Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection of Alhama de Murcia, as well as a representative of the Delegation of the government.
The main issue of the meeting was the reinforcement in security during the patron saint festivities, with the presence of Civil Guard agents from the Citizen Security units (USECICO) on the days of the greatest influx of people.
Its scope of action will be in the accesses to the municipality conducting controls of people and vehicles, as well as tests of alcohol and drugs.
This service will be a complement to the security provided by the Civil Guard agents of Alhama and Local Police, which will have a reinforcement of extraordinary services to be able to have more patrols in the street.
And as usual, the municipality will have the collaboration of volunteers of Civil Protection.
In addition there will be a reinforcement in the security for the monitoring of the facilities of the fair, as well as the placement of large planters to limit the access of vehicles to the areas of greater concentration, as in the fair of day and of afternoon.
At the meeting, the Lieutenant of the Civil Guard in Alhama confirmed the descent of the crimes in the municipality, maintaining a downward trend in the last year (https://goo.gl/gchz3c), and encouraged the population to continue collaborating with the forces and security bodies.
