Last Wednesday, October 18, the second edition of the 'Connecting Pedanies' program began with an informative meeting for all the teachers that will participate in this course.
The initiative constitutes a bet of the councils of Education and Pedanías, looking for the sociabilización of the students of the unitary schools of the districts with the students of schools of the urban helmet.
For the second year in a row, the company that will carry it out is Ecoespuña.
'Connecting Pedanías' aims to link the educational centers of the districts and those of the urban area through a programming of attractive and dynamic activities.
This connection will use the resources of both nuclei so that the students know cultural, traditional and environmental values ​​of the whole municipality.
The program began its course last year and, as in that first edition, will be directed to the second section of primary education in schools in the urban area of ​​Alhama de Murcia and at all levels in the unitary schools of the districts of El Berro, El Cañarico and La Costera.
On this occasion, a total of 260 students will be able to enjoy the program, 248 of the schools in the urban area and 30 of the unitary schools.
Throughout the program there will be three excursions, corresponding to each of the content blocks: Discover Alhama, Discover La Pedanía and Discover the game / Coexistence.
Students will have specific material in each area, doing previous activities and evaluation activities.
The City Council of Alhama de Murcia has provided this program with all the necessary resources for its proper functioning: educators for the preparation and development of activities, teaching materials, virtual platform, t-shirts identifying the program for students and teachers of the participating classes and free transportation for itineraries and departures between the centers of the urban area and the districts.
