"Sierra Espuña, 125 years of afforestation" is the title of the commemorative exhibition of the beginning of the works of hydrological-forest restoration of a mountain that by the end of the 19th century had lost almost all of its forest.
Its inauguration took place on May 4 at the premises of the Municipal Archive of Alhama (https://goo.gl/y25RVt).
He has also been present at El Berro and Gebas during his patron saint festivities, before moving him to the Ricardo Codorníu Visitor and Management Center.
The exhibition has 10 panels organized chronologically according to the course of the repopulation events and some display cases with various documents and old photographs related to these works.
During his stay in the Visitor Center he has received a total of 1,064 users between the months of October (596) and November (468).
Thanks to this exhibition, several visitors have expressed their interest and have discovered the true reason for deforestation, as well as recognizing that an important research task has been carried out to gather so much information.
All these options have been captured in a survey proposed together with the activity.
