ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN has been declared a European Sports and Health Company 2018 for its promotion of health and sports among its more than 4,500 employees by ACES Europe and the International Organization of Human Capital Directors DCH.
The flag accrediting this recognition has been collected, at the headquarters of the European Parliament, by its director of Human Resources, Manuel García Juesas.
It is the first food company in Europe to receive this distinction thanks to the 5,000 m2 of sports facilities available for the exclusive use of its staff and a wide range that includes a gym, paddle and tennis courts and a covered pavilion. conceived for the practice of futsal and other sports such as table tennis.
The company has invested 170,000 euros in these facilities in the last two years.
The company's commitment to sport is not only reflected internally, but it is also a main axis of its CSR policy, with the sponsorship of the Spanish Paralympic Team, La Vuelta Ciclista a España, La Carrera de la Mujer or the team of ElPozo Murcia Futsal, among others.
Likewise, the title recognizes the commitment of ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN for the promotion of health within the work environment, through initiatives such as the School of Articular Health, the room for the siesta, the vaccination and blood donation campaigns, the healthy menus or the medical attention offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year2E
For this, it has two modern clinics and a complete team, equipped with two doctors, six nurses, three assistants and a clinical psychologist, all of them on staff.
ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN has received this recognition during the ceremony of the XVIII Awards of the Federation of European Capitals and Cities of Sport (ACES Europe) held on December 6 at the headquarters of the European Parliament.
Guadalajara, Antequera (Malaga), Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona) and Santa Lucía de Tirajana (Las Palmas) are the four new Spanish European cities 2018. The new European Capital of Sport for next year is Sofia (Bulgaria).
The city of La Nucía (Alicante) was also awarded as the best European Sport Villa.
In addition, ACES Europe confirmed that Budapest (Hungary) will have that recognition in 2019, Malaga in 220, Lisbon (Portugal) in 2021 and The Hague (The Netherlands) in 2022.
