The City Council of Alhama de Murcia and Ecoembes organize an event this Saturday, December 16 from 11.00 to 14.00, within the 'Recycle and Breathe' campaign.
It will be focused on the adult public and will have activities and games, as well as a photocall.
The objective is to sensitize the neighbors about the benefits for the environment of recycling containers: cans, plastic, briks, etc.
In addition, the importance of recycling will also be discussed, especially the containers whose destination is the yellow container.
The proposal is to access the contents related to recycling and explain the direct relationship that exists between recycling and air pollution.
The first game will be the construction of a puzzle where one of the pieces will always be a yellow container and the rest will be waste.
The practitioner must match the corresponding waste and those not to the yellow container.
In doing so, you will be rewarded with a backpack.
The idea of ​​this activity is to use the information on the Ecoembes website about the main errors when recycling the yellow container waste and give the public the opportunity to check their knowledge, and then explain the errors.
The second exercise will consist of a simulation of the yellow container.
After giving the information of the campaign to the person, he is introduced in a "contaminated air bubble", which must be eliminated by recycling correctly in the yellow container.
You must choose groups of: 6 cans;
6 plastic bottles;
3 bottles of detergent or 3 bottles of shampoo.
For each group chosen correctly, you will receive a notebook as a reward.
The last dynamic is to do a little test in a humorous way, with two very simple questions in relation to the information of the campaign: "IF THE AIR IS OF ALL, CONTAMINATION ALSO", of which previously the monitors will have informed.
After completing it correctly, a diploma will be delivered, which will be customized at the time, along with the information of the campaign and a folding and reusable bottle, by way of graduation, that proves its quality as "Recycler and improver of the planet Earth" .
Finally, the results of the study "Calculation of CO2 emissions associated with the manufacture of beverage cans, HDPE shampoo bottles, and PET softener bottles, from virgin or recycled material" will be announced.
We will also work on correcting the most frequent errors when recycling the elements belonging to the yellow container.
The Department of Environment of the City of Alhama encourages all residents to come this Saturday to the garden of Los Patos to have fun and learn recycling.
