The Community will launch a pilot program to provide specialized training in innovation management to fifty young people and subsequently promote their incorporation into the labor market to enhance the presence of innovation experts in companies.
This program of Innovation Managers, which will be carried out by the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia (Info) in collaboration with the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), includes a period of internships in one of the nine training centers. the Network of Technological Centers of the Region and its subsequent incorporation during one year to the staff of a company, where they will also have a mentor from the technology centers.
This initiative is part of the Industrial Development Agenda, a strategy of the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business to improve the competitiveness of the regional economy through the promotion of highly productive sectors such as industry and technology, and thus promote the creation of stable and high quality employment.
This strategy, among other objectives, aims to increase the number of industrial and technological companies by 15 percent and generate close to 15,000 jobs over the next four years.
The Region is among the five Spanish autonomous communities that invest the most in the knowledge society, with 5.6 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), second only to Madrid, Catalonia, Navarre and the Basque Country.
