The doctor in Communication Javier García López has been designated Corremayo Mayor 2018. The decision, adopted by the Commission of Major Corremas of previous editions, together with the Councilor of Celebrations, has taken into account his involvement with the party and his selfless work of advice and management as a communication and media professional, helping to complete the necessary documentation so that Los Mayos has finally obtained the declaration of National Tourist Interest.
Javier has marked a line of action that, added to the work of the municipal technicians in the preparation of the file, the clubs, associations and all those people who have collaborated for so many years, has made this recognition possible.
Proof of this are the 18 insertions nationwide that have been added in just two years to the previous record - which already started with four others - in the written press, radio and television, including a special program on the Mayos 'The adventure of knowledge' (TVE) that was recorded in our town in 2016.
Born in Alhama de Murcia, Javier García has a long academic and professional career with which he has taken the name of the municipality to some of the most important teaching and research centers in the country.
He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Murcia, in the area of ​​Advertising and Public Relations.
He has been director of the Department of Communication and Professor Contracted Doctor in Distance University of Madrid (UDIMA), professor of the Master's Degree in Digital Communication, the Master's Degree in Digital Marketing and Social Media, the Master's Degree in International Business and the Doctorate in Law and Society.
He has previously worked as a professor at the San Jorge University of Zaragoza.
He has coordinated the Title of Expert in Protocol and Organization of Acts in that institution.
He holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Murcia, a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia and a Master's Degree in Criticism and Philosophical Argumentation from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
She holds a Specialist Degree in Epistemology and Gnoseology from the University of León and a Specialization in Institutional Communication from the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia.
His doctoral thesis, "The publicity concealment of social discrimination Cultural study on the representation of inequalities in television advertising", obtained the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude unanimously at the University of Murcia.
Between 2005 and 2007 he worked for the Ministry of the Presidency and for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Instituto Cervantes) in the field of communication.
He is the author of several JCR articles and articles in international indexed magazines, as well as the author of several book chapters.
He is the author of the books "Dispublicitados, The (Ideological) Effects of Advertising" (Editum), "Advertising and Marketing" and "Advertising, Theory and Practice" (Center for Financial Studies) and "Advertising, Communication and Culture" (UOC) ).
