The Governing Council has approved the reinforcement of the home help service for dependents in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, which will allow it to be expanded by 7,400 hours, with an additional investment of 65,527 euros.
The previous agreement contemplated 18,496 hours of personal attention and 18,496 hours of domestic attention, which will increase by 3,700 hours in both cases, to guarantee the specialized assistance needed by dependents within their usual environment.
The validity of this new agreement is for one year, from April 1 to March 31, 2019. The total funding, once the hours of service are increased, amounts to 283,909 euros.
The objective is to increase the degree of social protection of the elderly in the municipality and meet the needs of their daily lives.
The investment will be allocated to personal care services aimed at promoting autonomy and encouraging adequate habits and basic skills, as well as for actions at the homes of people in situations of dependency.
