This Sunday April 15 has started the XXVIII Week of the Elderly, which was inaugurated with a festival and the election of the Queen and King 2018 in the Senior Center.
An act that had the assistance of the mayor, Diego Conesa, and the mayor councilor, Nani Navarro.
The new Kings are María Montalbán and Santiago del Bao, who were able to enjoy during their "coronation" of a dance and exhibition of Manila shawls, along with the rest of the attendees.
Two new bridesmaids have also been designated, awarding the title this year to Encarna Romero Hernández and Pepita López Martínez.
In addition the elderly participants have received a gift courtesy of the Department of Seniors.
The activities continue on Tuesday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m.
with a talk-colloquium entitled 'Rights of consumers' by Mari Angeles Diaz, head of the Municipal Office of Consumer Information of Alhama.
