Set in the programming of the Archaeological Museum of Los Baņos, the Department of Culture and Heritage, took place on Sunday 19 a trip to Alicante in which 54 people participated.
The aim was to visit the exhibition "The Riddle of the Mummy. Funerary rites in ancient Egypt, the Archaeological Museum of Alicante.
The international exhibition on display for the first time and exclusively in Spain, revolves around the life, death and resurrection with three rooms dedicated to religious beliefs and sacred places as well as amulets, figurines and books featuring the Gods occupying the life of the Egyptians.
In the second hall reflected the world of mummification with the presentation of priests Ankhpakhred mummies and sarcophagus are the focus of the room with embalming materials, bandages, amulets, sarcophagi, etc..
In the last room sets Osiris statues from the Louvre Museum, papyrus with excerpts from the famous Book of the Dead and other Seramon mummy of the priest, with his magnificent sarcophagi with multiple coffins surrounded by many of the objects found in the tomb .
Also visited the Iberian-Roman town of Manises The Tossal, the former LUCENTUM.
