The Mayor of Alhama, José Espadas and the director of the Universidad Internacional del Mar, Manuela Lopez, closed this morning the course "Rural development in protected natural areas and Natura 2000."
The event took place finished the brilliant presentation by Jaime Izquierdo, advisor to the Minister for Environment and Rural Marino of the Government of Spain, exhibition which highlighted the need to rescue the traditional crop and livestock in protected areas, adapting at present and as a means necessary for the conservation of such spaces.
Similarly claimed it is necessary the intervention of the government for conservation of space in which it has already interfered.
Manuela Lopez clarified that the closure of Alhama also concluded during the course of 2010 which has been a large increase in students.
For its part, the mayor of the municipality closed during the day and highlighting the importance of this course in the town of Alhama where the greatest number of protected areas in the region.
Also encouraged and highlighted the work of university faculty and students for the conservation of these areas, essential question for this municipality.
