"Zangamanga" is the name of an exhibition that has organized the Department of Social Policy and will be open until 24 October.
The exhibition presents the work done by the users of Psychosocial Care launched by the City Council two years ago.
During the inauguration of the sample, which commemorated two years after the launch of this service, mayor of the municipality, José Espadas, stressed the need for this space that responds both to people with psychological problems and their family.
Also, the mayor declared the vocation of service to the public administration should be to provide solutions to the problems of society.
For its part, the mayor of Social Policy, Fina García, recalled that "we started picking up the baton AFEM association" that would publicly acknowledge all the effort and interest to help put this community.
The municipal service began with a social psychologist and educator, and with clear objectives: the rehabilitation and integration, both social and work of the mentally ill.
Indeed, today, mental illness has become the most widespread non-contagious disease in the world also has serious social problems such as job loss, absenteeism, attrition in the study and broken family structure.
Aware of the difficulties of these people and their families and the lack of significant resources, the city of Alhama launched the service in order to deserve the treatment that patients and relatives.
The service began to grow in demand and two years after its launch and has four this service professionals: a psychologist, a social educator, an occupational therapist and an art therapist.
Fina García added during the inauguration that "it is all done, still some way to go, but we hope and desire to fight for these people who are suffering from this disease."
For their part, many patients who use the service wanted to express publicly the help they are receiving and the improvement he has experienced since they are treated by various professionals.
