The Mayor of Alhama, José Espadas Lopez, accompanied by the mayors of Planning, Juan Romero Canovas and Industry, Jose Lopez, have this morning attended the opening of the extension of Befesa, a leading company dedicated to the recycling of industrial waste located in Industrial Park Alhama.
The plant opened is dedicated to the recycling of fiberglass.
Befesa is an international company specializing in integrated management of industrial waste generation and water management.
Committed to the environment, Befesa creates and technologies that provide innovative solutions for sustainable development.
Its R & D + i Befesa Plastics has developed in recent years a process for reusing waste glass fiber materials currently not recycled, and that in Europe alone are sent to landfill more than 120,000 tonnes per year which is an environmental problem hitherto unsolved.
Therefore, the new subsidiary dedicated plant, so far the recycling of plastic, is from its inception, pioneering the recycling of fiberglass.
At the opening also featured the general director of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, Francisco Espejo, and executives of the company, Alfredo Manuel Velasco Esquicia and White Rock.
Alhama Mayor highlighted the importance of industries such as Befesa in which investment in R + D + i make them a leader in the sector.
It has also highlighted the importance of the industrial park of Alhama highlighting its benefits and the interest of local government team for the spirit of Befesa companies are integrated into it.
