The hall of the local Town Hall was the setting for one more year for the awards ceremony of the Short Story Contest XI-Alfonso Martínez-Mena.
The event, moderated by the councilman of Culture, Juan Romero Canovas, was chaired by the Mayor of Alhama, José Espadas Lopez, and was attended by the two winners: Concha Fernández, first prize for a dark train, and Joseph Carlos Garcia, second prize at me.
Did not miss the awards much of the final jury formed by the writer Denise Garcia, professors of Literature Mild and José José Belmonte and Professor of History and Art of Miguel Hernández, Alfonso Ceron.
Once again was missing the presence of late Alfonso Martínez-Mena, mentioned by the mayor of Alhama de Murcia and by the mayor and members of the jury, and represented with three white roses on his book The Mirror of Narcissus.
The authors read their works that were commented by the jury as highlighting them.
The event, attended by various members of the Municipal Corporation, was embraced by many residents who took to complete the plenary hall.
Was entertained by the Saxophone Quartet "dissonance" of the Musical Association of Alhama.
