Another year, Alhama de Murcia is again home to the University of the Sea with the course "Balnoterapia. The medical use of thermal waters through history."
A course that not only provides college credit, but it converge training, research, dissemination and practical part in which students can enjoy a day at the spa Archena not only knowledge but also experience their services.
The mayor of Heritage and Culture pointed out that those interested can register until September 12th through the website of the university, www.um.es / Unimar
The tuition fee is EUR 95 and those over 50 years includes 50% discount.
Classes will be held in the auditorium of the Women's Business Incubator Alhama de Murcia.
Fernando Martin, vice president of Strategic Development and Training at the University of Murcia, next to the director of the Universidad del Mar, Manuela Lopez and the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Maria Rodriguez, tucked behind two of the course leaders, Gonzalo Matilla and José Baños, presented this morning cultural program.
This is the sixth edition of that course, so far, has had more claims than places, which is based in Alhama, precisely because of the importance of thermal waters in the town that not only gives its name to town, but much of its history (Roman and nineteenth century) has been an important engine social, economic and cultural.
It spoke the newly appointed rector, who also stressed that Alhama is a "very attractive city and not too known."
Meanwhile, Manuela Lopez pointed out that the Universidad del Mar has 20 seats, one of Alhama, and, thanks to the Campus Mare Nostrum, in the near future will have students from other countries and be based in northern Africa and other European states.
Also stressed that the project of the University of Murcia is one of the most attractive scenario because of its wide regional programming such as high number of participants.
