A year Alhama accepted the course offered by the Universidad del Mar, entitled "Balnoterapia, the medical use of thermal waters through history."
Directed by Professors Luis Gonzalo Ovejero and coach Matilla and Heritage of the City of Alhama, José Baños, has welcomed nearly forty students coming from different parts of the region.
The importance of the thermal waters, not only for its mineral properties, but also for its effect on the recreational and aesthetic world today show, as happened in ancient times, its social importance.
Of all these questions have spoken different specialists who have been through the course, including doctors, hydrologists, archaeologists, physical therapists, or investigators from places traditionally associated with the thermal water as La Coruña, including Professor of Hydrology at the University Galician Meijille Rosa.
Students not only received lectures, but have also been found in situ (Archena spas and Fortuna), life around the hot springs.
The cure, which opened on Monday 19, was closed on Friday 23 by the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Cerón Morales, and the director of the Universidad del Mar, Manuela Lopez.
Also present was Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Maria Rodriguez, and the course leaders who gave the diplomas to the students attending.
