Alhama City Council, through the Department of Consumer Affairs, warns that a fraud has been detected in the town for a few special cases approved in the review of gas.
A neighbor opened its doors to men who reported having to do the review of gas.
The neighbor, innocent, opened the doors of his house, allowed him to do the review and paid over 200 euros for it.
The Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC) points out that currently there are several licensed companies, as the market is liberalized in this respect.
It adds that, before letting anyone in our house for the review, we must ask a series of data to ensure that it is not a hoax.
Thus, we should ask the accreditation of the company, the worker's ID and a contact number to verify that the company exists.
We must also request a pre-budget review and, when we would pass, if we want to call them and after checking the data.
Add the OMIC the gas must be revised every five years, so that our documentation can check if it is indeed time to do it.
So far, only detected one case of fraud in this regard.
