This morning, the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron and Local Assembly Speaker Cruz, Francisco Belchí, have signed annual agreement with non-profit association.
Under this agreement, the City Council of Alhama undertakes to pay the expenses that the Red Cross Board of Alhama has during the year in the different work function with a value of 53,000 euros.
Specifically, Red Cross volunteers provide various services such as transport of daily users of day care centers Day Care and Occupational Las Salinas.
It also collaborates with the Department of Sports and preventive services with the Department of Social Welfare to assist neighbors.
Under this agreement, Red Cross also has available an ambulance Health Center equipped with electro medicine (UVI).
Furthermore, these services are staffed by qualified and trained volunteers for any emergency, which the assembly is continuously formed for their volunteers.
Moreover, in case of disaster, the Red Cross would be available to citizens over 20 ambulances, which are the Red Cross Murcia has, as it was found in Lorca, assisted more than 50 volunteers.
Currently the local assembly has more than 100 volunteers attached to the Assembly of Alhama to perform the tasks it performs.
To volunteer Red Cross must take a course in Basic Training Institution (known within the institution), which allows prospective volunteers to decide if you really want to be part of the NGO and the area you want to ascribe to perform their functions ( Social Services, Relief and Health Administration).
