The film's syndrome Icaria, written and directed by Juan Carlos Martinez, has won the second prize in its section Murcine FICC.
The award was received by its director in the course of the festival's closing gala, held last Friday in the auditorium of Cartagena.
The film is a comedy, with elements of fantasy films and false documentary, which parodies certain excesses of contemporary art.
This short film was made in October 2010 in the course of Filmmaking Course VI of the UMU, organized by the Department of Art History and which has been held in Alhama de Murcia, sponsored by the Department of Culture, since 2005.
This training initiative, created and directed by professor Juan Francisco Ceron UMU, brings together students from all over Spain, which involves spending a week in the shelter house RAL.
The crew and the actors of the film is composed by the students of the course, which develops Juan Carlos Martinez teaching job.
The next course will take place in spring
Typically, these courses take place in October.
However, this year did not take place because it has been left for spring 2012, when it is scheduled to take place the seventh edition of this course.
