The town of Alhama de Murcia has a number of companies specializing in the agricultural sector.
Kettle Produce Spain is one of them.
This is a company incorporated in 2003, having started business in other municipalities in the region, chose to be implanted permanently in Alhama.
Located in the fleets, along with the A 7, is dedicated to the production and marketing of horticultural products, mainly broccoli, melons and different types of cabbage.
The mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, was invited by the heads of KPE in Alhama to visit their facilities.
The first mayor, very interested in the industrial fabric of the town, accompanied by Miguel González and Ignacio Martinez, mayors of Agriculture and Industry respectively, moved on Tuesday to learn about the partnership formed by three companies, two Murcian and Scotland.
Attended by Juan Manuel Ruiz, CEO, Ginés López, Director, Juan Manuel Ruiz Soler, Director Commercial and Julian Marin as a partner in the company, members of the government team were interested in employment generated by the company (120 factory jobs and 70 in the field more as many indirect) for its infrastructure, production and management.
Representatives from the company showed its factory to the mayor and aldermen explaining their production base.
Kettle Produce Spain spend mainly for export to Europe, mainly to Britain and Ireland, and has based its production on 1000 hectares not only in Alhama, but also in the rest of the region.
In fiscal 2010/2011 had a higher production volume to 20,000 tons.
The mayor showed his willingness to support business enterprises, such as the visit, intended to be a leader in the area, employing local residents and are committed Alhama as a place to perform its task.
