Alhama City Council is developing a series of activities which aim to raise public awareness about the importance of our environment and conservation.
In that framework, developed by the Department of Environment, these days are conducting talks in schools to educate students about the importance of selective separation of household waste.
Environment councilor, Diego Huertas, this morning visited the students of IES Valle de Leiva, who received a talk from the association "Project Abraham".
The association "Project Abraham" in fulfillment of the cooperation agreement that has signed with the City Council, is conducting a series of lectures on environmental awareness in the Valle de Leiva institute for secondary school students.
The talk aims to raise awareness among students about the importance of the selective separation of domestic waste, encouraging them to adopt responsible behavior in this regard.
It also explains to students the traceability of waste textile, footwear and toys that the association "Project Abraham" records in our municipality.
This activity aims to highlight further the social nature of many recycling associations, social economy enterprises, which through the management of waste generated economy to maintain social welfare programs to combat poverty and social exclusion.
The talks began on May 9 and will be extended until the 28th of this month.
