The Municipality of Alhama de Murcia is conducting a series of changes in municipal management to achieve a significant reduction in public spending while achieving the energy savings and reduced CO2.
In this area of ​​work have changed the lighting of the school sports hall Espuña by LED lamps.
The mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Morales Ceron, accompanied by the mayor of Works and Services, Miguel Gonzalez, visited the site to check the results.
Projectors have been replaced 24 and 19 fluorescent tubes which will provide more than a 55% energy savings while it has substantially improved the lighting in place.
The investment, which amounts to 18,051 euros will be amortized over 2.8 years, and considering the savings using LED technology.
Alhama Mayor declared the connection that this initiative will be extended to other municipal offices.
Also, remember that Alhama de Murcia is part of the Covenant of Mayors through the European project is working toward Medeea in 2020 to reduce total energy consumption by 20% and achieving lower CO2 emissions also by 20%.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Works and Services also noted that this saving policy is also being carried out within the municipal lighting lamps and setting off sensitive cells that make lights only when really necessary.
