The mayor of Alhama de Murcia came this morning at the Residence for the Elderly Lady of the Rosary which was celebrated Grandparents Day.
Also present in the events organized by the workers in the home, the Minister of Health, Maria Angeles Palacios, and various members of his counsel and the councilors of Social Welfare and Health.
The purpose of the visit was to share with both residents and workers with a holiday that is recognition of all their grandparents and great importance and role in society.
The mayor has underscored the important work of employees of the residence that not only meet its tasks, but do so with great love and respect, feelings that are the largest with great affection.
Grandparent's Day, according to the minister, is a holiday "that has to help us to reflect on the important role that higher continue to play in society and to reaffirm the commitment to those who need special attention their dependency. "
The residence 'Virgen del Rosario', under the Murcian Institute for Social Action (IMAS), has 40 seats, of which 23 are women and 17 men.
