On Monday 15 was opened a shoemaker's workshop organized by the Department of Social Welfare.
Maria Carmen Diaz, councilor of the area, welcomed the 10 students participating in the course which is held in collaboration with Abraham Project, a non-profit association that has as main objective the fight against poverty and social exclusion in the Region of Murcia.
The workshop is 50 hours long, will be held from Monday 15 to October 31 from 9.30 to 13.30 and 10 students were selected.
The basic contents are to know the characteristics, development and utilization of adhesives, repair and / or replace parts in footwear, operation and maintenance of tools, machinery, adhesive materials, techniques and care treated as a change of shoes and heels or repair lining and treat bags or belts, etc..
The workshop aims to form a trade and promote employment and self-employment initiatives.
