The 15 students who have completed cobbler's workshop organized by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Pryecto Abraham, received this morning a diploma certifying them.
This took place at a ceremony in the hall of the local Consistory in the presence of the mayor, Fernando Ceron Alfonso Morales, the Director General of Social Welfare, Leopoldo Navarro and the mayors of Social Welfare, Maria Carmen Diaz and Environment, Diego Huertas.
Also present were representatives of whom Abraham Project has led to the conclusion of the course thanks to the agreement signed over a year ago, between the association and the city.
The course conducted responds to concerns shared between the municipality and the aforementioned association for promoting useful tools for the creation of self-employment.
In this line, precisely, Abraham Project works, thanks to the collection of used clothing, shoes and toys achieves the necessary funds to implement workshops that are creating employment among the most disadvantaged sections of society.
The workshop aims to form a trade and promote employment and self-employment initiatives.
The Consistory mayor congratulated the students and has confirmed its willingness to continue promoting this type of training.

Visit to Social Services
